I completed another track for Hampton Hotels this week. Pretty impressed at the turnaround time on this one! Started at 9am with a blank slate – finished tracking, mixing, and mastering around noon. Not bad. Of course I had to leave a little time to get coffee and turn it up loud in the car!
Here’s Eric Lewis playing pedal steel on a track for Myla Smith. The song is “Rhythm of Love”. Every part Eric played fit so well – the things he was coming up with were so great! Watch this!

Over the past month I’ve been mixing and mastering a couple of EPs for some great guys! Check out their purevolume pages!
Wow! Stunning footage and an awesome message. I’m floored by how much hope there is even after such a catastrophe. Amazing job Azod!

It’s great to be working with Azod
again. This piece is for an extended trailer of a future Haiti documentary (see the teaser trailer with more EarSmack music here). Hopefully the soundtrack will aid in inspiring people to rebuild Haiti. The finished trailer will be up soon!
Yesterday I told everyone I would post the “CSI” music I’ve been working on for
Transnetyx. Wait no longer! If you visit their site it could probably explain what they do better than I could. Basically it involves a lab, genotyping, genius scientists, FedEx and the Internet. Anyway – Here’s the music!
Below is the trailer found on Rivers Of Hope’s website. Music by EarSmack. I especially like the way the second cue came out. Electric guitars on riding on a sea of strings and ambient sounds. I’ll put the full audio version in our work section next week!

Yesterday Myla Smith released a FREE download of a song we worked on together called Little Caleb. I love how it turned out – lots of vocal parts and instruments weaving in and out… and It’s a great mother’s day song! So download it, listen to it, then put it on a CD and give it to your mom.

Sam Weaver – Acoustic Guitar

I originally composed and recorded “Two Are One” for my lovely wife on our wedding day (hence the title). Recently though, several film makers have licensed it for use in their films. I’m excited to see what they do with it! Just a reminder that you can license the majority of music you hear on this site for use in your own projects. Just shoot us an email. Here’s the song in its entirety.
and here it is in Azod Abedikichi’s trailer for a documentary on Haiti.

I mixed and mastered two songs for www.bellevue.org today. They’re going to be for a kids camp called Camp Outrageous! I really like what they did with “Splash” – I think I was smiling the whole time I was working on it. Listen Below! If any of you have kids and live in the Memphis area, check out their site for registration info.
